Vera Glazunova is a young Russian jewellery brand, launched by Vera Glazunova, daughter of famous Russian artist Ilya Glazunov.
The entire jewellery is handcrafted in the company’s studio in Moscow. Each piece of jewellery has its own name in two languages: Russian and French. The company produces jewellery manufactured from high quality precious metals and gemstones such as diamonds, emeralds, rubies, sapphires, etc. Also the company’s craftsmen use enamel, mosaics and freshwater pearls.
The brand was inspired by the idea of reviving old jewellery traditions of 17th – 20th centuries. The company’s founders are experts in the field of history and art, which helps them build the unique style of the brand. Masters create a modern interpretation of vintage design jewellery, as well as reviving the already forgotten vintage jewellery techniques. Today the collections contain many beautiful jewellery pieces with enamels, the Florentine mosaic and sea pearls.
Vera Glazunova’s lookbooks include the Russian traditional hair accessory – kokoshnik. Vera Glazunova started to draw kokoshniks since early childhood. At the age of 4 she created her first real kokoshnik adorned with beads. After she graduated from a course of historical painting she decided to use the kokoshnik as a logo.
